Neurons might contain something incredible within them.
Randy Gallistel is a remarkable scientist who argues that neurons contain something incredible within them: an accessible-to-computation mechanism that allows the brain to
store numbers in memory and then to
retrieve these numbers from memory.
This would sound outlandish to most mainstream neuroscientists.
But Gallistel points to a fascinating experiment (that was done with a ferret) to support the idea of intraneuronal memory-storage. This ferret-experiment demands engagement/response from the scientific community.
Surely the blackout on this ferret-experiment cannot last forever.
See below my interview with Dr. Gallistel. I edited the interview to make it more conversational, and I added hyperlinks.
