Fire destroys Vienna auto delaership

VIENNA, Ill. (WJPF) A fire destroyed a long-time Ford dealership in Vienna Friday Night. Several fire departments responded to the blaze at Bob Harper Ford. The dealership has served Johnson County and the surrounding area for nearly four decades. Firefighters were on the scene for nearly five hours. The cause of the fire has not been determined. The Wayne County Health Department reported no new positive cases of the coronavirus Saturday. The total number of lab-confirmed positive cases for the county remains at 1301. 45 people who were lab-confirmed positive cases have passed away, two are reported to be hospitalized and 120 are isolating. The health department reports a total of 129 "probable" reported cases of COVID-19 in Wayne County. 15 people are currently isolating along with being actively contact traced. The Illinois Department of Public Health reported another 6717 cases of the coronavirus Saturday and 99 additional deaths. (KFVS) - Last night a Heartland business went up in flames, leaving only ashes and smoke behind. A car dealership is left in ruins, after a disastrous fire. “We were on scene until about 2:16 this morning,” said Brent Williams. Vienna Fire Chief Brent Williams said that at about 7:30 p.m. last night they received a call for a commercial structure fire at Bob Harper Ford Dealership in Vienna. “We arrived with heavy smoke and fire showing throughout the building,” said Williams.
