Like to recognize mr. Bucshon from indiana, a neighbor across from my congressional district, for one minute. The chair the gentleman from indiana is recognized for one minute. Mr. Bucshon thank you, mr. Chairman. I rise in support of this legislation. Every single coal mine in the state of indiana is in my congressional district. Coal not only provides thousands of jobs for hoosiers but provides over 90 of our states energy. Coal is a vital part of indianas economy, helping to create keep Energy Prices low and supporting a Robust Manufacturing sector. I disagree with the e. P. A. s position that coal ash should be treated as a Hazardous Material. Coal ash has been described to be used in other material like concrete and safe when used correctly and stored correctly. The e. P. A. Studies, as has been mentioned in 1993 and 2000, has state that had coal ash is not a Hazardous Material. This legislation allows states to establish their own regulations from managing coal ash as long as it

Some of the people on facebook and twitter are commenting that there are already work requirements attached to those receiving food stamps. There are work requirements. What for presented of sutherland is trying to do is he believes there are too many loopholes. There is not enough uniformity and a greater emphasis on work. Think when people talk about work requirements when it comes to people on snap or food stap mps is we are talking about 90 of people recieving benifits and not working. It is a smaller universe than that. Talking abo

On this stage with my dear friend, uva board member alan in a debate for Lieutenant Governor, a primary debate for Lieutenant Governor in the february of 2001. The first debate ive ever been in as [indiscernible] [laughter] so good to have you here, alan. For every dollar that you add, you have to cut somewhere else. Especially in an environment like this one, with sequestration cuts in investment accounts, there are not a lot of good sources. You have to get a member of congress to agree to this, at least all the committees. So, it cannot be anything contentious. It is not realistic to move multiple billions of legal limits on transfer authority. Could some of this change . Yes. Congress can change the laws in ways that make this easier. We are doing worstcase planning right now, that is a fair statement. But if the cr stays in effect for the whole year, we will see serious attacks. If i can follow up and add, if we do follow these civilian employees, they are the ones that maintain our equipment in a lot of our depots. They have a lot of ranges on posts. If furloughed, they will love be they will not be there for that training environment. It is the second and third quarter. It is not the training dollars that can be potentially prepr
Committee. How does cso play into this . We try to work with everyone that you mentioned. We want to be aggregators of talent and good work that has gone on. For example, something as simple as analytics, we have a metadata analyst in our shop now, but we want him to be an aggregator of aggregators. I keep saying you have to be made silver on steroids nate silver on steroids. We cannot run enough staff to review and it turns out the Intelligence Community loves being called by the state department. They are flattered by it. They want their work respected and called upon. It is not hard. Often times, in the military community, there might have been times when the state department has not been as friendly to these other partners as they could be. Particularly when you get to Something Like policymaking, there has been this secret formula like kentucky fried chicken, you have to go into the back room and no one can tell you what the elements are. I happen to believe the process should be
