A unanimous eight-member vote by the Porter County Plan Commission at a special meeting Wednesday is the first step for revising and recommending a new ordinance for solar projects in Porter County.
The Porter County Plan Commission will hear a recommendation Wednesday evening from a special subcommittee of its members on whether to revise, repeal and replace, or do nothing with the county’s three-year-old solar amendment in the wake of roiling controversy surrounding the Malden Solar project proposed by NextEra Energy Resources.
