DES MOINES, Iowa It s Volunteer Appreciation Week, and one organization is shining a light on one of their most respected volunteers.
Bob Forte devotes his extra time to serving his community at the Food Bank of Iowa.
A jack of all trades, Bob has been doing volunteer work since he was in high school. Now that he s retired, he said serving his community is his calling in life. One person can t do everything but everybody can do something, and I think you have to get over that fear of not making a difference, Bob said. But everybody who participates here or wherever they have the chance to make a difference at some point in time.
