Mark Trevorrow created Bob Downe in 1984 and the Prince of Polyester continues to reign at this year s Adelaide Cabaret Festival, Bob Downe and Anne Willsy Wills are bringing the classic variety television program Adelaide Tonight back to life on stage. Bob Downe also appears at this year s Melbourne International Comedy Festival and his show Viva Bob Vegas! will tour Brisbane, Wollongong, Sydney and Melbourne.
In the late 90s, Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore had a huge hit with the romantic comedy The Wedding Singer, which cashed in on 80s nostalgia. Now it s a musical, which is currently touring Australia. Teagan Wouters, who plays Julia, and musical director Daniel Puckey perform a song for us.

Emmaâs Debutante
My Deb Ball was fairly uneventful, save for showing off my Scandinavian girlfriend and mum scolding me for not getting my scruffy hair cut. Frankie McNair and Emma Holland take the premise of a Deb Ball and go turbo.
Respectively, they play a dysfunctional mother and daughter preparing for Emmaâs big night with a revolving cast all keen to make speeches.
Tonight, the Canberra-raised, Melbourne-based comedians rope in talent such as Randy Feltface who bursts out side of stage, disconcertingly close to a crowd member and does a great bit on âspelunkingâ his way to lamp switches.
