MARSHALL Â A planned construction detour on Saratoga Street later this summer divided members of the Marshall City Council on Tuesday.
While the council narrowly approved a detour agreement with the Minnesota Department of Transportation during planned construction on U.S. Highway 59, some members said they had serious concerns about the safety of the route.

MARSHALL Â Renovations at Marshall’s City Hall are close to complete, and Marshall Mayor Bob Byrnes said the project is still on time and on budget.
City staff went on a final walkthrough of the renovated City Hall on Monday, and the plan is to begin moving some furniture into the building later this week, said City Administrator Sharon Hanson.
