the border. you will be met by an overwhelming response. and we are going to continue to work with our partners in mexico to dismantle and defeat you. jenna: strong words from the secretary. steve harrigan is live in miami with this story. what new details are we learning about this eye tack. reporter: apparently the attack happened at a road block, 3:00pm local time about a hundred miles north of mexico city. the two ice agents were on-duty driving north toward the industrial city of monterey. the road block may have been posed as a military road block. the two agents were in a u.s. vehicle with diplomatic plates when they rolled down the window when surrounded by gunman. that s when a person who was a seemed to be a member of the zeta cartel shot into the vehicle killing one agent and wounding the other agent in the arm and leg. often these road blocks are used by drug cartels for different reasons. sometimes to block off territory for a rival gang but more often to rob v
