once the boat was able to give him a life vest, it was determined getting him off by helicopter was going to be the best option. none of us expected the boat to overturn the way in which it did. the training and standardization and everything from the school that we attend, the whole purpose of us being there was for the advanced helicopter school and training in those conditions. that prepared us to execute that. lieutenant, we are watching this. there s the boat turning over again, which is just incredible. correct me if i m mistaken. there s a coast guard swimmer in the water swimming over to the boat right before it capsizes and turns over, and he is okay? that swimmer is okay? yes, sir. that s correct. that s petty officer branch
we are back looking live at the scene in richmond, texas. you can see on the right side of your screen there, just drop that radar map. it is in houston from kprc. a rescue right now. this is exactly what we have talking about. the flood waters still affecting so many people and so many neighborhoods and these rescues are going on four days after the storm first made landfall. it looks like those folks getting out of that rescue boat. they are walking across to, essentially, higher ground at this point. again, coming to us live from kprc. as it s all up folding today. the storm hit late friday. this is what rescuers, what people by boat, people by chopper are having to deal with. you see that boat turning right back around, presumably, potentially, going to find more folks that need some help.
