2 Minnesota Businesses Face 5 Year Liquor License Revocations

St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News) - State regulators are now seeking sanctions that would effectively put two Minnesota establishments out of business.
The Minnesota Department of Public Safety Alcohol and Gambling Enforcement Division says it has notified The Alibi Drinkery in Lakeville and the Interchange in Albert Lea that their ongoing and blatant violations of COVID restrictions and regulations could result in five-year liquor license revocations for both businesses. A news release says the bar and restaurant in Lakeville and winery and cafe in Albert Lea have continued to serve customers on-site despite numerous requests, notifications, and court actions aimed at getting the businesses to comply with Governor Tim Walz s pandemic executive orders.
According to a release from the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, Alcohol and Gambling Enforcement Division, DPS has notified the Alibi Drinkery in Lakeville and the Interchange in Albert Lea that they face the revocation for the ongoing and blatant violations of Executive Order 20-99 as modified and extended by Executive Order 20-103 .

KIMT NEWS 3 Restaurants in Albert Lea (The Interchange) and Lakeville (Alibi Drinkery) now face a five-year liquor license revocation for ongoing violations of pandemic restrictions, according to The Minnesota Department of Public Safety Alcohol and Gambling Enforcement Division (DPS-AGED).
Both establishments continue to sell or advertise the sale of alcohol for indoor, on-premises consumption in violation of the executive orders, and neither have come into compliance after numerous requests, notifications and court actions, according to a release from DPS-AGED.
