Mahoning students may access career programs
The Alliance Review
Students from Sebring Local and West Branch Local school districts will be among hundreds set to take part in virtual career counseling sessions.
Mahoning County Educational Service Center’s Career Counseling team will work with students from more than 17 districts, assisting with their investigation of a number of career, trade and school options.
In a news release, the Mahoning ESC announced it has launched a platform called Virtual Career Exploration. Officials say the platform will be a discussion series, featuring live conversations with professionals in a new field each month.
January’s highlighted career field is law enforcement, with guests including a special agent from the FBI as well as Officers Paul Poulos and Phil Merlo of the Boardman Police Department, who serve as school resource officers for Boardman Local Schools.
