Cambodian police opened fire on striking garment workers in the capital. Three have been killed, others wounded. Some 350,000 workers are on strike, demanding a wage increase. Opposition parties are calling on the government to resign. The president of the Cambodian Center for human rights joins me via skype. Looking at what happened, was Excessive Force used by Security Forces against the protesters. Definitely Excessive Force has been used and live ammunition. We are concerned that the live ammunition, when used, is being used in discriminatory. We felt that the news of the military in this regard is, first of all, excessive, but also we felt that it is not the right place for the military to be involved. In 2003 alone, they have documented 25 cases of violence, where the police and authority has used Excessive Force.
