As RSU 21 School Board deals with complaint, questions linger

School Board Chair Art LeBlanc confirmed on Wednesday that the talks continued. He declined to comment further.
Once agreed upon, the contract for teachers, nurses and instructional personnel will cover Sept. 1, 2021, through Aug. 31, 2024. The current contract expires on Aug. 31.
Jenessa Cadorette, president of the Kennebunk Arundel Kennebunkport Education Association (KAKEA), expressed optimism Friday, June 4, about the progress the association and the board were making.
“I can say, with a renewed spirit, that we are moving in the right direction,” she said.
Cadorette made her remark to a crowd that had gathered in support of RSU 21 teachers in the parking lot behind the business complex at 11 Main Street in Kennebunk on June 4.
