Police have arrested the principal of a Qawmi madrasa from Boalmari upazila of Faridpur, in a case filed for sexually harassing a 12-year-old female student.

Sensing the matter, five other men went to the orchard, beat up Mintu and raped the woman. On information, police conducted several drives at villages under Alfadanga and Boalmari upazila and arrested the eight accused rapists yesterday and early today, said Mohammad Nurul Alam, officer-in-charge of Boalmari Police Station. The victim filed a case with Boalmari Police Station against the eight, added the OC.
