BMW SIM Racing broadcast the third edition of BMW SIM Live on Saturday and Sunday live from BMW Welt in Munich (GER). This was the end of the season grand sim racing finale at the event which celebrated its debut back in 2019.
Recently, the Bavarian manufacturer announced that it would return to prototype endurance racing for the 2023 season by joining the new hybrid hypercar class, LMDh. That means it will compete at Le Mans, the famous race they won back in 1999 with the V12 LMR race car.

BMW Motorsport has revealed the stunning new BMW M4 GT3 customer race car based on the 2021 M4 Competition Coupe.
As staggering as its looks is its output of 440kW, making it the most powerful straight-six engine BMW has installed in a racing car since the days of the BMW M1 Group 5, according to Ulrich Schulz, Head of Drivetrain Design, BMW Motorsport.
Explaining the astonishing styling, Michael Scully, BMW Group Designworks Global Automotive Director, explains that: “The kidney grille retains the production car’s size and geometry, while its interior surfaces have been opened up to feed the race engine’s enhanced cooling requirements.”

The inaugural season of the BMW SIM GT Cup at the virtual Nürburgring Grand Prix Circuit on the iRacing platform concluded with a thrilling finale and a one-two for the Coanda Simsport team. In March Audi Sport launched what can only be termed as a gluttony of high-performance wares. If the aim was to send the equivalent divisions, BMW Motorsport and Mercedes-AMG, a not-so-covert message, they certainly succeeded.
