German carmaker BMW aims to create up to 6,000 new jobs in 2022 in order to prepare for a growing demand for its fully electric models, said CEO Oliver Zipse during an interview with German outlet Muenchner Merkur.
A lot of people think the BMW iX is a hideous thing. The i4 is a much, much better-looking machine. According to Oliver Zipse, that does not make any difference: both of them are sold out for months, meaning that anyone willing to buy one of these electric cars will have to wait for a while.
Priced from $83,200 plus $995 for the destination charge, the BMW iX is expected to launch in the United States in the first quarter of 2022. Offered with three wheel sizes, the most efficient variant achieves up to 324 miles (521 kilometers) on a full charge of the battery with the 20-inch wheels.
