Minimalism against complications, sharp clarity against ambiguous elements, and sobriety against opulence; not to mention discrete symbolism, too. These are the notions I took the time to weigh before starting an own styling approach regarding the latest BMW 4 Series. Otherwise, the risk of coming up with a design like something for comic book superheroes is significant. 4 photos
I don’t see any mystery about the wave of criticism raised by the new BMW 4 Series s appearance. Intuitively, people see all things around them as either beautiful or ugly. Look at a Jaguar F-Type: nobody has to explain to you why it is beautiful.

Despite its launch about a year ago, the BMW 4 Series is still generating buzz for the German automaker. Partly because it s an all-new model, and partly because of its, er, nose. But now, you have a chance to take a look at it for yourself. That s because BMW Philippines has launched the redesigned 4 Series Coupe in the country.
The all-new 4 Series breaks away from tradition with its exterior design. Whereas past 3 Series-derived coupes shared a lot of their looks from their four-door counterparts, this one is radically different. For starters, that massive kidney grille grabs your attention as it spans from the tip of its hood all the way to the apron. BMW says it s a homage to their heritage, drawing comparisons to the E9 Coupe from the 60s and 328 from the 30s.
25 February 2021 - 08:40 By Phuti Mpyane The BMW 4 Series coupe is a slinky and exciting alternative to the 3 Series.
Picture: PHUTI MPYANE Let me begin with nailing my colours to the mast: I loved the grille on the new BMW 4 Series from the moment I clapped eyes on it at the 2019 Frankfurt Auto show, long before our telephonic conversation with BMW design director Domagoj Dukec in a bid to ask him about the merits of being anti-establishment.
Away from the head-turning schnozz, the 4 Series certainly delivers on its promise to be sexier than its 3 Series cousin. Those slinky looks are created by a roof that is visibly domed in front to accommodate even the leggiest of passengers while it dips vigorously towards the rear.
