reporter: well, this is the worst we ve seen so far. i hope the mike will pick it up. incredible wind gusts here over the past i d say 20 to 30 minutes. center of circulation still pushing west of the island but there s still plenty of wind and very heavy rains and at times incredible surf. we re up on a bluff overlooking elbow beach. [ inaudible ] we ll show you the video and give you an idea of what we saw. as you can imagine, the conditions there were just as bad. very difficult trying to stand. it was just hard to believe, just out of the sheer force of the wind that s churning up the water. the wind and waves coming right up and going right up against the beach bluff itself. this is a scene that s been playing up and down these islands, what i can tell you is all 138 islands that consist of
