The Garden Club of New Milford recently held a dedication ceremony for the installation of a Blue Star Memorial Marker in honor of the veterans that have defended our nation in the past, and to honor members of the military who are serving our nation right now. The dedication ceremony for the Blue Star Memorial marker was held on June 14 at Town Hall where the marker now stands as an icon used to represent service members. The Blue Star Memorial marker in New Milford sits atop a pole and features a square sign with the National Garden Clubs Inc. logo. On it is inscribed “A tribute to the Armed Forces who have defended the United States of America.”
