police have fined 13 minors for gathering to play cricket on the grounds in violation of lockdown rules.
Action has also been taken against the Navale Cricket Academy for allowing the same.
The police said that locals had complained to the
Hinjawadi police that players were gathering at the academy grounds despite the lockdown being in progress.
The Navale Cricket Academy is located near the Blue Ridge Society in Hinjawadi. “The police conducted a surprise raid at 8 am on Sunday. They found 13 minors gathered there and enjoying a game. A fine of Rs 500 was collected from each of them and of Rs 5,000 from the Navale Cricket Academy for allowing the same,” said police officials. The police reprimanded the players and schooled them o
