Sean Paul, Shaggy
With just a 4-year age difference, Jamaican artists Sean Paul and Shaggy snatched mainstream success around the same time in the early 2000s. Though Shaggy, 52, went a little more
left into Reggae and Paul, 48, drifted
right into Dancehall, their accomplishments have followed a similar path to stardom.
Both have locked in several studio albums, appeared in films, and snatched a few music awards here and there, including a bunch of Grammy nominations and wins. They’ve been marked in the Reggae & Dancehall archives as two pioneering and iconic acts who took the genre to the international stage.
After more than 20 years, "It Wasn't Me" remains the go-to alibi to rely on when you're caught with no alibi to fall back on at least according to music star Shaggy, who scored a big hit with the song back in 2000.
