Residents near the site of the fire in Montmorency and Cheboygan counties are warned to watch out for burned trees falling and animals moving to new habitat.
The now 2,516-acre Blue Lakes Fire in Montmorency and Cheboygan counties is now 98% contained according to the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.
