Note: The following appears in the NC State football gameday program. The annual Homecoming celebration known as Tigerama takes place this year on Friday, Oct. 21 at 7 p.m. at Memorial Stadium. This event has grown immensely from where it started 66 years ago, when famous Clemson alumnus Joe Sherman brought this idea to Tigertown in hopes of creating a uniting event at the end of Homecoming week. Since then, Tigerama has grown to feature a culmination of student groups, segments of entertainment, philanthropic efforts and a display of fireworks every year on the Friday night of Homecoming week. This year, Tigerama features a unique combination of traditional and transformational components. Just as in previous years, the audience can expect the crowning of the 2022 Homecoming Queen, fireworks and appearances from the Rally Cats, Tiger Band and the football team.
