청와대가 매주 일요일 진행하던 유영민 비서실장 주재 상황점검회의를 없애고 이철희 정무수석이 주도하는 정무관계회의를 신설한 것으로 4일 알려졌다. 3실장과 수석 8명이 전부 참석하던 회의 규모를 대폭 축소하는 대신 참모들이 그 시간에 현장을 찾거나 외부 사람을 만나도록 한 것이다.
이 수석은 지난 4월 임명 이후 일요일마다 정무관계회의를 열고 있다. 당초 유 실장이 주도하는 상황점검회의에는 수십명의 참모가 참석했으나 정무관계회의에는 유 실장과 이 수석, 박수현 국민소통수석 등을 포함해 6~7명 내외의 주요 참모만 자리한다.
