When I was a kid I totally wanted to be an
Orange Iguana!! That was easily the best team name and don t try to convince me that the
Blue Barracudas were better!!! That s not what this is about though. Have you heard the news that the popular Nickelodeon game show, Legends of the Hidden Temple is getting rebooted???
This time, grown-ups will be the ones searching for treasure.
The CW is working on a supersized, adult version of the show, which combined physical challenges and an epic Temple Run at the end of each episode. The new version will be set in an actual jungle instead of a TV studio, with tougher challenges and much bigger prizes on the line. Do you remember Legends Of The Hidden Temple?

Do You Have What It Takes to Become a Legend of the Hidden Temple? Now You Can Find Out
For everyone who grew up watching reruns of
Legends of the Hidden Temple and wishing they could participate only to find out the show ended in 1995, do I have news for you! On Tuesday, Deadline reported that The CW has ordered a reboot of the classic Nickelodeon show, which had previously been set to be rebooted by the now-defunct Quibi.
Legends of the Hidden Temple centers on six teams of two participating in three rounds of competition to find out who earns the right to enter the temple. This new edition will no longer feature kids as contestants and will instead be all about nostalgia-loving adults. Sorry, Gen Z, you have to be 21 or older to participate.

The
Legends of the Hidden Temple remake is still happening, and it’s headed to American television network The CW.
The CW made the announcement on Tuesday, May 11 in a press release to US media outlets, including Variety. The CW describes the remake as a “supersized adult version” of the ‘90s adventure game show that saw pairs completing various physical challenges across an obstacle course designed to look like jungle ruins.
It will feature adult contestants and will keep some of the original show’s elements, including the Mayan talking head Olmec, the moat crossing, the steps of knowledge, the temple run, and the original team names: Purple Parrots, Blue Barracudas, Red Jaguars, Silver Snakes, Orange Iguanas, and Green Monkeys.
