Madison-born songwriter, hip-hop guitarist and music producer Adem Tesfaye will play at the jazz club Cafe CODA this Friday. Tesfaye is a skilled storyteller, with experience producing music rooted in hip-hop, funk, reggae and blues. He has previously released two solo albums, D-iz-III “the Sickness” and “Athedage,” though his most recent work includes the Black Poet’s Society Reunion and a blues-funk-hip-hop band Binx.

Experience all the fun at this family-friendly July 4 parade, with opportunities to decorate your bikes and strollers and enjoy some patriotic party favors. Led by a firetruck, the parade will begin at 10 a.m. near the main park sign and will go from Country Grove Drive to Fieldcrest Way, Mammoth Trail and finally back to the park.
