A semi jacknifes on highway 218 near waverly this afternoon the driver lost control because of the Road Conditions kwwls oliviaamancino joins us live from the bremer Sheriffs Department with more deputies on the scene told me the slick highway caused this driver to lose control this happened just south of the waverly exit on 218 you can see the semi here, crews were working to pull it out of the road. Deputies say the semi is very light and didnt have a lot of cargo in it so the driver lost control fairly easy. Reporter this is the suspect who was shot after a domestic dispute in which he reportedly stabbed a woman and threatened a Security Guard with his knife. It happened at 12 45 this afternoon. A source close to the investigation tells news4 it began at Kaiser Permanente on Second Street northeast near the entrance to Union Station. The man and woman were arguing. The woman told the guard that she had a protective order against the man. He then stabbed her and fled, running into Union Station. An armed contract guard working with the securities and Exchange Commission chased the man to the Mcdonalds Restaurant near the amtrak gates. Police say the suspect lunged at the guard, trying to stab him the guard shot once, hitting the suspect in the side. Thats when people inside Union Station scattered.
