film. hot are you channeling? your entire bearing, your presence, everything, even before you speak in the film is very different from these other roles. what are you channeling in this role, and is any of it drawn from your family? actually, this is a very, very good question because when i saw the script, it s on a personal level, it s giving me a role that takes me into at least eight universes and in each universe it s almost a complete story of its own. and it s almost always about love. love, whether it s for an animal, love for your nemesis in this universe, it s always rocks, it s still about love. it s about going after who and whatever universe, i will still come for you because you are my love. and also relationships. you know how we sometimes look back and say if only i had done
that, if only i had taken this path or if i didn t break up with that guy, if, if, if. there are so many ifs. what the daniels have done brilliantly is show you that every time you take a different chance, it breaks off into its own universe and has a life of its own. that s another question about the film. do you view it as a sci-fi film about a multiverse where there s literally more than one reality. yes, it is a sci-fi movie. or a psychological allegory about living with the chance choices we make? it s that as well. it s drama. i thought it has to be only one because it fits into a box, right? this box is huge. so when you read the script, was that all clear to you? when i read the script, i was so overwhelmed. what was clear to me, i am presented with an opportunity to show all of the things that i have learned in my 40 years of being in this career.
