News this noon is breaking news, chopper 6 hd is above the scene of a threealarm fire in northeast philadelphia. This is the Aquatic Fitness Center on the 3600 block of grant avenue. The fire broke out 45 minutes ago. Firefighters arrived on the scene to find flames throughout the building. No injuries have been reported, this is an aquatic and Fitness Center with indoor pools. We believe the dome covered the large olympic pool at the back of the complex. It did break out sometime after 11 00 and burned very, very quickly. You can see theres practically nothing left of the rooftop of the dome. This is video from just a short time ago, you can see heavy, heavy smoke coming from the dome that covered the olympicsized pool. This is located in a residential neighborhood.
