Christmas came a little bit early for Roku shareholders on Thursday morning, with the streaming device company’s stock price hitting a new all-time high, a day after announcing a deal with HBO Max. The deal ended a seven-month standoff between Roku and WarnerMedia, HBO Max’s parent company, insuring the streaming service would be available to Roku’s 46 million active accounts by Christmas Day, when “Wonder Woman 1984” is set to debut on the service.
we actual saw that donald trump is the one who did blink first. why? because his poll numbers have gone down significantly, with that core base of the 33, 34% of american voters who have stuck with him time and time again through thick and thin, we ve now seen that we ve seen that part of his base start to decline. that s why i think he had to come forward and say, you know what, i know democrats are not going to agree to this, but i m going to be the one to at least, you know, try to have some sort of compromise, which is what he put out there. he knew that democrats wouldn t go for it, but at least we re starting to have a conversation. here is something interesting with this bill with democrats. they ve been taking a stance that funding the border wall would be an immoral proposition. back 11 months ago, early 2018, democrats were willing to trade $25 billion for a path to citizenship for the dreamers. how can they justify their currents aer isation of moral high ground? i hea
dana: thousands of federal employees returned to work today after a three-day government shutdown orchestrated and ended by democrats. chuck schumer s plan did not work and he ultimately caved. republicans, the media, and the dreamers are not going to let him forget it. the democrats giving in on the dreamers. my messages pretty simple. we got to this point. what happens? why did the democratic party blink first? sent a democrats backed down from a budget and immigration standoff. i am outraged. we are furious about what s going on. they have shown as they do not care about us. is it fair to say that the government shutdown backfired for democrats? you know, again, betrayal.
the president of most famous campaign trail, blink first, the potential government shutdown. simmons is democratic strategist, republican strategist and with truth, casey hi the original plan was to put it in a supplemental spending bill that was slated for the fall. nobody in congress was expecting it to have this fight now. and if you listen between the lines of what was said today, it sounds like what they re saying is they re using words like border security. sean spicer said, if we get border security on some of the wall, that will be okay. and democrats have never really opposed that. i think there s just some question as to whether the president fully understands the acts that he was making by trying to put it. why would a democrat vote for spending continuation issue on the house side.
choreographed affair, as we were expecting from north korea, very similar to what we saw 17 years ago for the funeral of kim il-sun. we saw the procession. coffin going through the streets of pyongyang, 40 kilometers was the procession. and along those snow-laden streets, there were tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of mourners who had come out to pay their last respects. this was a lot of emotion. we did see at the front of these crowds a lot of wailing and weeping and beating of chests. although further back in the crowds, there were some more passive looking people paying their respects. so this is as it was expected. kim jong-un obviously now called the supreme leader according to state media was also front and center. zain? will anything change in north korea under kim jong-un? this is what everyone would like to know. at this point, the consensus appears to be that nothing will change in the near term. what we did see today was kim jong-un walking along
