Mrs. Lucas has taught 2nd grade for 15 years, but teaching for 30 years overall. These students are her last - Mrs. Lucas is retiring at the end of this school year.

They re not just best friends. they re also identical twins who followed the same career path together into the classroom. She actually started back to school probably like six months before I did. I had been to school for something different, said Dykes.
