The lead defense attorney for Timothy J. Martinez, 35, said Friday that the victim was "stuck in a lie," essentially perpetuating a fabrication about alleged molestations, while the prosecutor said she "ignored" the victim's in-court testimony that was consistent with statements made during a 2019 interview with a Vacaville police investigator.
Greg Teplansky, a detective with the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, said the victim, then a high school student in Trona, told him the defendant had sexual intercourse with him "multiple times" when she was a preteen living in Vacaville.
