A ceremony to recognize graduates from the College of Arts, Education and Humanities and the College of Business, Mathematics and Science kicked off the day’s festivities on Friday morning.
With the event kicking off in the Beaux Arts Ballroom, an opening ceremony laid the groundwork for the rest of the day as themes of creativity, innovation and inspiration permeated the campus.
Local students attending Bemidji State University are among more than two dozen singers who will perform at the university's second annual Opera Night, Jan. 19-20, in BSU's Beaux Arts Ballroom.
Seventeen Bemidji State University music students recently competed in the Minnesota Chapter National Association of Teachers of Singing auditions and two students won their categories.
The concert will feature Morten Lauridsen's, "Lux Aeterna" and Franz Schubert's "Magnificat." The event is free to the public and will be followed by a reception.
