WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (Purdue Sports) In the season home opener at Holloway Gymnasium, the No. 13 Purdue volleyball program swept the Iowa Hawkeyes, 3-0 (25-19, 25-15, 25-17). The victory was the first three-and-out win by either team in its series history since Purdue downed Iowa, 3-0 on October 18, 2013 in Iowa City.
Caitlyn Newton led both teams with 12 kills and a pair of aces. Meanwhile, setter Hayley Bush and libero Jena Otec tallied 11 digs apiece. Bush procured 26 assists on the night, while chipping in four kills (most since four at No. 22 Michigan, 11/27/19).
