NEW ORLEANS – The cross country season is winding down!
That doesn’t mean that the performances are getting any less thrilling.
Here are the four individuals who were named National Athlete of the Week on Wednesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
NCAA Division I Men – Abdihamid Nur, Northern Arizona
NCAA Division I Women – Ella Donaghu, Stanford
NCAA Division II Men – Jared Putney, Seattle Pacific
NCAA Division II Women – Dania Holmberg, Seattle Pacific

National Athlete of the Week is an award selected and presented by the USTFCCCA Communications Staff at the beginning of each week to 12 collegiate cross country athletes, when applicable (male and female for each of the three NCAA divisions and three NJCAA divisions).

Twelve teams that were ranked in the most recent
NCAA Division I Cross Country National Coaches’ Polls descended on the Craig Ranch Regional Park in North Las Vegas today for the Silver State Collegiate Cross Country Challenge.
BYU completed the sweep as the second-ranked men and third-ranked women took home team titles.

Northern Arizona put on a racing clinic on Monday.
The top-2 teams in the most recent National Coaches’ Polls battled toe-to-toe over the 8K course at the Craig Ranch Regional Park in North Las Vegas. When the dust settled in the City of Lights, the two teams combined for seven of the top-10 finishers and the second-ranked Cougars pulled out a five-point win thanks to putting four of their runners in the aforementioned top-10.
