FRANKLIN Nary a day goes by that Jenn Conley is not chatting up a storm with Cheryl Melendy as they excitedly work on a special holiday project that got under way a few days after Thanksgiving.
Borne from a simple question posed on the All About Franklin Mass Facebook community, they have been conspiring to collect holiday gifts for seniors living at Benchmark Senior Living at Forge Hill in Franklin knowing that the seniors will be isolated from family and friends during the holidays as the pandemic rages on.
The resulting effort has drawn an outpouring of support in a short time, and the two women, making a best friends compact, are already planning to make it an annual thing.
