Precision probiotics firm Biome Australia says that giving practitioners a foundational understanding of microbiome modulation, before reinforcing efficacy via clinical trials, will be key to its ongoing growth objectives in the market.
Biome Australia shares are up by 16.18% after news FY23 sales revenue target of $7 million has been hit with half a month of trading remaining in the quarter. This is after their flagship Activated Probiotics product range finds interest through distribution channels growth throughout Australia, the UK, and NZ.

In this month’s edition of Nutrition Asia we shine the spotlight on two firms – Australian brand Activated Probiotics and global supplier Chr Hansen – which are assessing the potential of probiotics to aid immunity, atopic conditions, and sleep.
“Whenever we are looking at probiotics, we are looking at the immune system, because the inherent nature of probiotics mechanism of action is going to be modulating immune function,” said Rebecca Edwards, head of education at Activated Probiotics.
The company currently has a number of probiotics which claim to stimulate or help enhance the immune system function, including Biome Breathe, Biome Daily, and Biome Daily Kids.
