Lawyer Facing Disbarment For Ramming SUV Into Ex-Husband s House, Continued Harassment

A 40-year-old lawyer from Orlando, Florida, is facing permanent disbarment after she was arrested for ramming her SUV into her ex-husband s house in 2020 and continued to harass him and his girlfriend despite being ordered by the court not to contact them after her release, documents showed.

Court records show Bogumil, a member of the
Florida Bar since 2006, left her five-year-old and 11-year-old children at home alone circa 3.30 a.m of April 30 last year to drive her vehicle into the SUV on her ex’s driveway.
The vehicle then smashed into his garage door,
‘bending it inward about 2 to 3 feet’, according to documents. But there’s more.

Bogumil is also said to have smashed the windows of her ex’s new girlfriend’s BMW before telling her:
‘I will kill you, b .’
Florida Supreme Court has recently disciplined 15 attorneys
Leslie H. Smith, spokesman for the Department of Lawyer Regulation of The Florida Bar informed local Historic City News reporters that the Florida Supreme Court has recently disciplined 15 attorneys, disbarring five, revoking the licenses of two, suspending six, and reprimanding three. Two attorneys were ordered to pay restitution.
Attorneys suspended for periods of 91 days and longer must undergo a rigorous process to regain their law licenses including proving rehabilitation. Disciplinary revocation is tantamount to disbarment.
