A Manns Choice man facing attempted homicide charges after he allegedly caused head injuries to a 6-month-old girl had his charges bound to the Court of Common Pleas on Wednesday.
Jensun Claycomb, 21, on Dec. 22 was charged with attempted homicide and attempted first degree murder, as well as other charges, stemming from an incident on Sept. 1 that resulted in the infant being diagnosed with shaken baby syndrome, according to state police.
Claycombâs attorney during a preliminary hearing on Wednesday argued the girlâs injuries were the result of another medical incident that occurred earlier in August.
Emergency crews were dispatched to 271 Peter St., Schellsburg, about 8 p.m. Sept. 1 after receiving a report of a medical emergency involving a 6-month-old girl, according to court documents. The infant was taken to UPMC Bedford before being transported to UPMC Childrenâs Hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment for subdural hematoma.
