Jun. 6—ELKHART — A 34-year-old Elkhart man was arrested Sunday in relation to the hit-and-run that killed Blaine Fisher, 18, and seriously injured McKade Nielsen, 18, late Friday, according to the Elkhart Police Department. ELKHART Elkhart police are looking for the driver of a white Dodge Ram pickup believed to have struck an 18-year-old male, killing him, and severely injuring another 18-year-old male late Friday night.
Police said they were dispatched to the 3000 block of Greenleaf Boulevard at 11:10 p.m., where they found Blaine Fisher, of Elkhart, dead on arrival. Fisher had been riding a bicycle. Mckade Nielsen, 18, of Elkhart, had been riding a skateboard and was taken for treatment to Memorial Hospital in South Bend.
Police believe the truck is a diesel.
