Blackwell residents warned to boil water due to low pressure, possible contamination Share Updated: 2:33 PM CST Feb 18, 2021 KOCO Staff Share Updated: 2:33 PM CST Feb 18, 2021 KOCO Staff A boil water advisory is in effect for Blackwell in northern Oklahoma, due to low water pressure and possible contamination of water lines, according to the City of Blackwell.According to a post on the City of Blackwell’s Facebook page, the city is recommending that all utility customers boil their water before use or use bottled water until further notice.Officials said in the statement that all departments are aware and are working continuously to restore water throughout Blackwell. The City of Blackwell also announced that they are giving away one case of bottled water per car/per family starting at 2 p.m. Thursday. They will be giving out cases of bottled water purchased by an anonymous donor to families until supplies run out.
