For a fundraiser in Janesville, a charity places an old vehicle on thin ice and sinks it for cash prizes.
There are so many things I love about my job. One of the reasons is definitely doing contests and giving away big prizes. It does not matter if it is for the actual station, a community charity, or a local business. They are always a good time. The more creative the better.
One of my favorites we did lately on 96.7 The Eagle was a ticket giveaway for the Stadium Tour at Wrigley Field featuring Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Poison, and Joan Jett. Contestants had to send in videos of pouring sugar on themselves (like the Def Leppard song Pour Some Sugar On Me. The listeners came up with some very funny and original ideas for their videos. It was hilarious and lots of fun.
