Preston New Road Road closed in both directions after two car smash

A busy road was closed in both directions after a crash in Blackburn. The accident at the Preston New Road and Revidge Road traffic lights involved a silver VW Golf and a Toyota Avensis Taxi and is believed to have happened at approximately 4.30pm. Police and ambulance were at the scene. Police said a vehicle has been recovered and the road would be reopened (6pm Tuesday February 16). Traffic was earlier backed up along Preston New Road and motorists were advised to find alternative routes if they were heading out of town towards Preston. Blackburn Police had earlier posted: “We are currently dealing with a Road traffic collision at Preston New Road Junction with Revidge Road being blocked, the traffic is backed up so we are asking for people to avoid the area to help reduce congestion.”

Kuba Mackiewicz: Concerns grow for missing Blackburn 14-year-old | Lancaster And Morecambe Citizen

CONCERNS are growing for a 14-year-old from Blackburn who has been missing for the past two days. Kuba Mackiewicz has not been seen since January 10 and police are appealing for anyone who may have any information on him to come forward. Kuba is described as a white male, of slim build with blonde hair which is long on the top and faded on the sides and was last seen wearing a Grey Nike hoodie with writing on the botton, Mckenzie tracksuit bottoms with black and white Nike trainers. He is from Blackburn but also has links to Morecambe. Anyone with any information on Kuba s whereabouts can contact Blackburn Police, using the case reference number LC-20210111-0932.
