Centuries-Old Mystery of Missing Fourth Great Pyramid Solved by Author

Centuries-Old Mystery of Missing Fourth Great Pyramid Solved by Author Sputnik International https://sputniknews.com/society/202102261082199401-centuries-old-mystery-of-missing-fourth-great-pyramid-solved-by-author/ The original account from nearly three hundred years ago reportedly mentions a “Black Pyramid” located “almost on a diagonal line” with the other three” Great Pyramids. An author named Jason Colavito has managed to solve a conundrum posed by a certain 18th century account which mentions a fourth great pyramid at the Giza Plateau in Egypt, even though there are only three such structures located there – the Great Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure. According to the Daily Express, Colavito referred to the Voyage d Egypte et de Nubie, a 1755 book that records the voyage of Danish naval captain and cartographer Frederic Louis Norden through Egypt in 1737-1738.

He wrote: “In 1737 and 1738, Frederic Louis Norden travelled through Egypt and Nubia to make a report of them for King Christian VI, though neither man would live to see the publication of the resulting volume, ‘Voyage d’Egypte et de Nubie,’ in 1755. “The volume is famous for depicting the Sphinx for the first time without its nose and in a realistic style. “But for fringe historians, the volume is also interesting because of the mistakes Norden made. “In 1757, Norden’s text was translated into English and published under the title ‘Travels in Egypt & Nubia’.
