Two vaunted British brands, Aston Martin and Bowmore Whisky, unite once again this spring to make a unique bottle for one of the distillery’s oldest whiskies ever.
A rare bottle of Black Bowmore Aston Martin DB5-31 year old-1964 recently sold for £115,900 at The Old, The Rare and The Only whisky sale at Bonhams in London.
Diego Lanza, a senior whisky expert yesterday, holds a rare bottle of Black Bowmore Aston Martin DB5, a 31-year-old whisky distilled in 1964 and bottled in 1995. It is decanter 19 out of 37 on display at Bonham’s auction house in London. The whisky is expected to sell for £75,000 to £85,000 (US$97,665 to US$110,687) at auction tomorrow.
