Ellie Inc.’s cheeseburger looks just like the real deal. So does the hearty bowl of minestrone and the chiffon cake with whipped cream advertised on the company’s website. They apparently taste like the real thing, too, except for hints of a nutty, sweet flavor characteristic of one of their ingredients silkworms.
The products developed by the startup under the firm’s Silk Food banner contain edible sericulture insects and are marketed as a high-protein, low-cost alternative and sustainable food source. And there’s more on the menu: The firm has produced Italian, sesame and Caesar salad dressings and a dipping sauce made from silkworms, with new items in the works.
China Box Office: ‘Shock Wave 2’ Blasts Past ‘Soul,’ ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ Variety 12/28/2020
Hong Kong’s “Shock Wave 2” out-earned “Wonder Woman 1984” in China in just two days, topping the local box office this weekend with a $51.4 million debut, according to data from Maoyan.
By the end of Christmas Day, “Shock Wave 2” had grossed $28.6 million (RMB187 million), more than the $23 million (RMB151 million) “Wonder Woman” had earned since Dec. 18.

Its opening is nearly triple the Patty Jenkins-directed blockbuster’s China debut of $18.8 million last weekend, and more than 35 times the mere $1.46 million “Wonder Woman” managed to lasso this weekend to come in seventh at the box office.
The Yin-Yang Master: Dream of Eternity
Directed by Chinese hitmaker Guo Jingming, the film will debut on Netflix on Feb. 5 following its Chinese theatrical release on Christmas Day.
Netflix is adding fantasy film
The Yin-Yang Master: Dream of Eternity to its pool of high-profile Chinese commercial movies. The feature, directed by youth-favorite filmmaker Guo Jingming, will debut on Netflix on Feb. 5, 2021 in every market where the streamer is active.
The film is an adaptation of Japanese author by Baku Yumemakura’s blockbuster fantasy novel
Onmyoji, which has spawned countless comic book, TV, movie and video game adaptations across Asia since its first publication in 1986.
