Thiruvananthapuram: Hours after being fielded as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate for the upcoming assembly elections in Kerala, Rajya Sabha MP KJ Alphons on Sunday said that he was not keen to contest in the polls.
However, he asserted that he s happy that the party high command has asked him to contest the elections. I am happy that BJP high command has asked me to contest. I follow the directions of the party even though I was not keen to contest at all. I am going to fight and I am going to win, news agency ANI quoted Alphons as saying.
