Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav has criticized the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for not renewing tickets to all its present MPs from Uttar Pradesh, except one. The SP chief claimed that the BJP has not released its list of Lok Sabha candidates from the state, as their sitting MPs have done little but fill their pockets. Akhilesh also stated that BJP MPs won t receive a warm reception when they return to their constituencies.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister-designate Yogi Adityanath has invited former Chief Ministers Akhilesh Yadav and Mayawati for his grand swearing-in ceremony later today. He also dialled Samajwadi Party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav regarding the event.
The ceremony will be held at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow at 4 pm on March 25. The stadium is to be used for the cricket tournament IPL this year.
