BERKELEY – California men's tennis will send most of the Golden Bears to compete in the ITA Northwest Regional Championships in Moraga, where they will attempt to qualify for the ITA Super Regional Championships in Seattle. The regional tournament runs Wednesday through Sunday at Saint Mary's and includes singles and doubles flights.
Cal seniors Yuta Kikuchi and Philip Hjorth have already earned a doubles berth at the super regional, and Kikuchi has also already qualified in singles for the Oct. 22-25 event at the University of Washington.

Krustev knocked off UCI s No. 67-ranked Bjorn Hoffmann in a three-set marathon, 7-6 (4), 3-6, 6-2. He also helped the Gauchos defeat UC-San Diego, 5-2, winning his match against Daniel Traxler, 6-1, 6-3. Victor s consistency and physicality were truly impressive, said head coach Marty Davis. He was really tough this weekend.
Krustev s singles record improved to 7-2 on the year.
The Gauchos complete their home schedule this weekend when they host UC-Riverside at 1 p.m. today and Cal Poly at 10 a.m. Saturday. No spectators are allowed.
