Following the sudden disappearance of Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, protesting youths, in their hundreds, on Wednesday vandalized the official residence of the Catholic Bishop of Enugu Diocese, Bishop Callistus Onaga.
Mbaka is the founder and director of the popular Adoration Ministries, Enugu and Parish Priest, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Emene.

Speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, one of the protesters said they wanted the Bishop to clarify the whereabouts of Mbaka who had not been seen since Tuesday.

The Catholic Diocese of Enugu, Thursday, reacted to the invasion of the Bishop’s Court and the Holy Ghost Cathedral Church by the followers of Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, saying the holy altar of sacrifice had been desecrated.
The church s reaction came about 24 hours after Mbaka s followers declared him missing after he was summoned to a meeting by Bishop Onaga.
The development had caused tension in Enugu on Wednesday as Mbaka’s followers took to the streets to protest the disappearance of the cleric.
They marched from the Adoration ground in Emene, Enugu, to the Bishop’s Court at Igboeze Street, Independence Layout Enugu where they destroyed some parts of the building.
